The Blazers will be looking to make good on their ability to handle back-to-backs with strength, and they’ll certainly need it against the Dallas Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis have clicked together early, and Portland will have their hands full.
Dallas is another high-scoring, three point shooting team and that’s a double-edged sword for the Blazers. Portland is relatively sound when it comes to guarding the arc, but we’ve seen teams draw up gameplans to get their shooters free against them using penetration.
